SBA DEW SERIES HITS GEELONG AND THE GOLD COAST

Over the past few weeks we’ve traveled up the north and south coasts of OZ. Event #3 of the SBA DEW Series presented by Arnette visited Geelong (VIC) Waterfront Skatepark for a rad day of shredding where Jai Stork (Albury) was a clear standout. Stork claimed the U15 victory with a huge bag of tricks including a variety of manuals, flip tricks, monster ollie to flat and buttery back tail.

Jame Guida (Highton) and Harley Powell (Monbulk) of the U18 sponsored division showed the crowd how the park was meant to be skated by stomping some impressive tricks down the big three. Harley took home the signed Willy Santos deck for winning the Arnette “Trick of the Day.” Results and video evidence on SLAM.

Event #4 saw the Arnette team headed north to Queensland’s Gold Coast and unfortunately rain was in the forecast. Continuous showers and gusty winds wreaked havoc on the Pizzy Park contenders, but they were ever fearless and frothing to lock in some new lines come rain, hail or shine.

Shanae Collins (Nobby’s) blew everyone away with what could be claimed as the best skating EVER seen in the girls division. Collins threw down plenty of tech tricks all over the park, but in the end it was her big airs over the spine that won over the crowd and earned her the Willy Santos signed Birdhouse deck.

Check out all the results and video footage on SLAM.
